Hi everyone,
In the wake of what’s been an unprecedented and challenging last few weeks, here are a few messages, thank-yous, and announcements from your loyal team at Lime HQ.
First off, we’d like to recognize our performers for dealing with this situation like champs. Whether recently disembarked and back at home, currently on board, or waiting for contracts that have been delayed indefinitely, you’ve been communicative, responsible, logical, and understanding of the decisions that the cruise lines have had to make, and that’s not easy to do. Seriously — you’ve all been amazing.
We know that it’s tough for everyone, but we believe that the measures taken by the cruise line industry are necessary to recover as quickly as possible, in order to make their ships a safe place for guests, offer exceptional vacations once more, and provide all of you with jobs.
We’d also like to take a moment to recognize the various cruise ship supervisors and partners, all of whom are working incredibly hard to continually provide updated information and deal with an incredible volume of scheduling changes, travel updates, and exceptional situations on board.
We have not taken this pause in service as time to relax, cross our arms, or twiddle our thumbs, thinking that there’s not much to do. On the contrary, we’ve kept our full staff, and we’re working harder than ever to accomplish the following:
- Ensure that all of our performers either get home safely or stay on board, granting your requests whenever possible within the parameters of safety and what’s logistically possible.
- Rescheduling delayed, postponed, and canceled contracts, and lining up work for you as soon as this is over — for the immediate future, the rest of 2020, and beyond.
- Developing some new ideas, which we’re excited to unveil soon!
Whether home, on board, or in transit, please take care of yourselves, and follow the rules and regulations urged by the cruise lines, as well as by your respective countries and cities. Practice social distancing, and wash your hands like it’s your job!
The more efficiently and more responsibly we deal with this, the sooner the world will recover, and the sooner we’ll able to get you back on board, doing your thing and living your best life out at sea.
All the love,
Sam and Fede
